Retainer Instructions

• Wear your retainer at all times, until the doctor instructs otherwise
• If instructed to wear full-time, please remember to remove your retainer before eating and drinking any beverage (other than water)
• Clean your retainer well each day with cool or warm water and soap
• Efferdent® or other orthodontic appliance cleaners can be used to help keep your retainers clean
• Pets love retainers! When not in your mouth, secure your retainer in your case
• Retainers are breakable - if your retainer is broken or lost, call us immediately
• Remove retainers when swimming
• Keep retainers away from hot water, hot car interiors, pockets, washing machines, and napkins
• Retainer replacements are expensive but with proper care your retainers will last for years!
